The Mood Brief began with one observation.

After more than a decade working behind the scenes in weddings, I noticed the same pattern again and again.

Couples would walk into vendor meetings carrying Pinterest boards full of beautiful ideas, but no shared vision to connect them. Every vendor interpreted those references a little differently, and the creative direction of the day slowly came together through a series of separate conversations.

Then I planned my own wedding.

Before I booked a florist, photographer, or planner, I built the creative direction first. The feeling, the color story, the references, and the identity of the day all lived in one place before a single vendor was involved.

Everything changed.

Vendor meetings became conversations instead of translations. Decisions became easier because every choice could be measured against the same vision. Instead of hoping everyone imagined the same wedding, they finally could.

That's when I realized something.

The vision isn't supposed to come together during the vendor process. It's supposed to walk into the room first.

The Mood Brief exists to give couples that starting point. A creative direction that brings clarity before the planning begins, so every decision that follows feels intentional, cohesive, and reflects your story.
